SENIOR'S LAST WILL

By: HELEN MAGAMPON

We, the members of the graduating class of 1982, in the name of our Divine Providence turn over to the would-be seniors everything that we have acquired during our four years of study under the roof of our dear ALMA MATER, the PADRE VICENTE GARCIA MEMORIAL ACADEMY.

I. To our most respected principal, to the Administrative body, to the members of the faculty and to our friends, we express our deepest gratitude for the immeasurable help and services you have rendered us during our long stay in the school.

II. To Miss Mercedes Katigbak, Mrs. Demetria Subido, Mr. Arturo Castillo and Father Daniel Sandique, our beloved Senior advisers we extend our warmest thanks for your encouraging help that led to right thinking and right doing.

III. We, the outgoing Seniors hand over to the jolly juniors our services, distresses and disappointments that we have encountered.

IV. I, Helen Magampon, hand by will to the Junior scholar my patience that helped me in the attainment of a cherished goal.

V. I, Rolando Casao, the PVGMA Cadet Corps, leave to the Juniors my ability as a military chieftain.

VI. We Faith Volleyball team leave to the Juniors our special abilities, tactics, cooperation and teamwork in volleyball which are good assets in the winning of games.

VII. We bequeath to the worried students of PVGMA our sunny smiles and carefree laughter with the hope that their sorrows will be laughed away.

VIII. We Rosita de Chavez, Rowena Bautista, Leynie Perez and Luz Masalunga leave to the Juniors the undying friendship that chained us together in and out of the school.

IX. We, FAITH, HOPE, CHARITY and LOYALTY, leave to the Juniors our Alma Mater, our respect and loyalty to her and everything that we may leave within her walls and campus.

X. We, the Seniors top 10 bequeath our talent to the Juniors top 10 unless otherwise they neglect their lessons.

XI. Lastly, we the graduating class request the Juniors to continue holding social activities like the Literary-Musical Contest and other affairs to promote amity among students.

Editorial Departure

By: HELEN MAGAMPON

The day has dawned at last! Nothing is greater in a man's life than the day of his triumph. After four long years of waiting and hoping- years marked with sleepless nights of struggle with books, we are to realize the fulfilment of our undertakings.

This day of triumph has been much awaited day—GRADUATION DAY—a day which fills us with both happiness and sorrow. The moments fill us with joy because we have won what we strived for. On this moment too we feel sad due to parting with our friends and beloved teachers, with whom we have shared countless days of happiness.

But we should remember that the triumph which we have accomplished is not ours alone nor is the pride! There are others behind to whom real credit belongs. All that we are now we owe to our parents and teachers who exerted efforts to make this event possible.

To our beloved teachers, we express our sincerest gratitude for your valuable guidance, for your efforts that you have led us to this day of triumph. We thank you for everything you have imparted to us—the struggle for existence. We shall never forget the unselfish devotions you have show to us.

With our dear ALMA MATER, the PADRE VICENTE GARCIA MEMORIAL ACADEMY we share this glorious moment. To you we owe mostly the realization of this important event in our lives, the maturity of a dream come true.

We are proud to be called your sons and daughters. We feel that we are part of you, the years we have spent in your presence have taught us to respect you.

Now we must depart, and in leaving, we shall strive to be worthy of your examples. We face the future with hope and fortitude, certain that God who guides the destiny of men and nations never abandons whoever follows His guiding hand.

Faculty.. Joined the Intramural

By: MA. LOURDES EVANGELIO

The month of January turned out to be a month of sports. The male faculty members headed by the principal, Mr. Rodeo Gatdula, formed into an instant team participated in the basketball games.

However, their first encounter with the teachers' pet, a senior selection team, proved one thing: they are not yet ready for a championship match.

On the other hand, the game displayed by the female faculty members headed by the assistant principal, Mrs. Macaraig proved to be a very exciting game. They won their initial game in volleyball. The much needed support of the following: Mrs. Pangilinan, Mrs. Salazar, Mrs. Ramos, Mrs. Andan, Mrs. Magadia and Miss Ebite tipped the balance on their side.

What a way to trim down—a real physical fitness on the part of the faculty members! Looking forward to see more exciting games participated in by the administration and all the faculty members.

ANNOUNCEMENT

By: MARISA VILLANUEVA

This coming school year 1982-83, the P.V.G.M. Academy will increase its tuition fees. This was announced recently by Mr. Rodeo Gatdula, the principal of the Academy.

He said the increase will be intended for the improvement of the school facilities and for the benefits of teachers and other personnel.

The rate of increase is still undecided because new development may happen before the opening of the classes on June, 1982. However, in a recent development, the government has allowed the school to increase the tuition fees by 10 percent.
